Welcome to my personal website! I am an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Kansas (KU) School of Business. My research interests include international finance, banking, operational risk, supply chains, and corporate innovation among other topics. Prior to joining KU in 2020, I was a Senior Financial Economist in the Quantitative Supervision & Research group at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, where I led a team of financial economists and quantitative analysts responsible for the modeling of operational risk at large financial institutions in the Federal Reserve's stress-testing program. I also contributed to numerous other projects in financial institution quantitative surveillance and supervisory model development. Since joining KU, I have held visiting scholar and consulting positions with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. I completed a Ph.D. in Finance at the University of Florida Warrington College of Business in 2014. I serve as an Associate Editor for the Emerging Markets Review.
