Welcome to my personal website! I am an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Kansas (KU) School of Business. Prior to joining KU in 2020, I was a Senior Financial Economist in the Quantitative Supervision & Research group at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. I have expertise in risk quantification, measurement and modeling. In my full-time role at the Fed, I led a team of financial economists and quantitative analysts responsible for the modeling of operational risk at large financial institutions in the Federal Reserve's stress-testing program. I also contributed to numerous other Federal Reserve projects in financial institution quantitative surveillance and supervisory model development. Since joining KU, I have held visiting scholar and consulting positions with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. I completed a Ph.D. in Finance at the University of Florida Warrington College of Business in 2014. My research interests include banking and international finance among other topics. I serve as an Associate Editor for the Emerging Markets Review.
